A Charleston-based construction company has new leadership.
Landmark Construction Co. Inc., a family-owned civil construction company, has announced that Anthony M. Garcia, former chief operating officer at the company, has succeeded Rick Mixson as president and CEO, according to a news release.
Garcia has been an integral part of Landmark for the last year and a half, bringing extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of operations, culture and values, the release stated. As COO, he played a key role in driving strategic initiatives, expanding business operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service for our customers and delivering financial results to the company shareholders, the release stated.
“Anthony has been a driving force behind our company’s success. I am confident he will continue to lead with vision and integrity,” said Mixson, who has led the company for just over 26 years. “It has been an honor to serve as President, and I look forward to seeing Landmark Construction Company Inc. thrive under his leadership for years to come.”

In assuming the role of president, Garcia will focus on strengthening customer relationships, expanding the company’s regions, product offering and driving innovation, the release stated.

With this leadership transition, the Mixson family will continue their ownership of Landmark Construction Co. Inc., according to the release. Rick Mixson and Cindy Mixson will serve as chairman and co-chairman of the board.
