The city’s Community Development Department is providing $2.2 million in federal HOME Investment Partnership Program dollars to finance the project, the release stated. Part of these funds will be going toward five single-family homes in the Jones McDonald Community Club neighborhood.

“It is a time for us, with this council, to not only address reports and studies but to bring them to fruition by bringing in the right resources along with our own City staff to get this done finally,” City Manager Teresa Wilson said in the release.
